Holiday Information
IMPORTANT HOLIDAY INFORMATION FOR FLORIDA - PLEASE READ THIS NOW
PLEASE READ NOW BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS Please read these carefully. They are typical of the travel industry. A completed and signed booking form must be received from your party as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to check that all names, initials, titles etc. shown on your invoice are correct. Any subsequent changes will incur a minimum charge per change of £25. CAR RENTAL Inform Florida Suncentre if you are a driver under 21 years of age. Inform Florida Suncentre if you do not possess a credit card. WE NEED TO KNOW THIS NOW! YOUR ACCOMMODATION Great care has been taken to provide you with honest and accurate property descriptions in this brochure. To offer you as much choice as possible, we have included different standards of accommodations in most resorts. If you arrive in the early hours, remember that your room has been reserved from the previous afternoon in order to give you instant access. Check in for properties are usually 3-4 pm. Similarly you must vacate the property by 10-11 am on the last day of your stay. However your holiday information sent prior to departure will confirm the actual times or check locally to confirm. Holidays offering a choice of accommodation by grade relate only to our assessment of those property standards and facilities not quality alone. No official classification system exists in America.Bedding, sheets, hand and bath towels (not beach/pool towels) are supplied at the start of your stay in our properties. An ample supply will be provided and has been calculated for the duration of your stay and the size of your party. These are listed in your inventory. An inventory deposit is taken, and any damages, unauthorised telephone calls, stains, items lost or extra cleaning required of properties shall be deducted from this. Should clients need assistance, they can call our local representative who can take care of most situations and will contact the UK office if required. We will not accept any ‘collect’ calls made to the UK but calls made to the UK in an emergency situation may be refunded later at our discretion. Raining for longer than an hour or a hairdryer not working is not classed as an emergency! UNUSED SERVICES Please note that it is not possible to make refunds after the date of departure for any services booked but not used. RENOVATIONS, REFITS Most of the villa and apartment complexes featured in this brochure are open for business throughout the year. There are no official closed seasons during which suppliers can effect repairs, renovate or refurbish. Because Florida Suncentre use properties which believe in maintaining high standards and indeed improving them, there may be instances when certain work is carried out during your stay. It is not always possible to advise you in advance, if this is the case please accept our apologies. You have our assurance that the management of the properties will do their utmost to ensure you are not inconvenienced. HEALTH AND SAFETY If you or any member of your party is an expectant mother or suffers from any serious medical condition, you must check with your doctor about the advisability of travelling abroad and make this known to the Company before you book. The Company reserves the right to refuse to accept a booking in these circumstances.Safety standards and medical facilities throughout America can be very expensive and you are required to insure against the cost of treatment for sickness or injury whilst on holiday. The Company has negotiated insurance, which should provide adequate cover and a 24 hour emergency service if required. At the time of going to the press, there were no mandatory vaccination or inoculation requirements for countries featured in this brochure. Please check with your doctor for up-to date information. For further information you should obtain a copy of the DSS leaflets SA40 and SA41 (Travellers Guide to Health) from your ABTA travel agent, DSS or a main post office. The Foreign & Common-wealth Travel Advice Unit may have issued information about your holiday destination. You are advised to check this information on BBC2 (Ceefax) page 470 onwards or on the internet under the address http://wwwfco.gov.uk/.Alternatively, you can contact the ABTA Information Department on 0891 202520 (calls charged at 50p/ minute). DAMAGED OR LOST PROPERTY It is important that you report without delay, lost property to the relevant authority and obtain a written report. If your suitcase or its contents arrive damaged at the airport after a flight, report it immediately to the baggage-handing supervisor. Whilst on holiday, the local police will provide a certificate of loss, should you lose or have any item of value stolen. You should submit your claim directly on return to the UK and support your claim with your receipts and written reports. ELECTRIC CURRENT 110 Volt (60 cycle ac) is standard throughout the USA. Plugs are the flat two pronged style. Visitors from abroad will need a transformer (240v-110v) and probably an adapter plug for electric razors and hairdryers. SMOKINGPlease note that smoking is banned on transatlantic and domestic flights. PASSPORT AND VISAS Correct documentation is entirely the traveller’s responsibility and we recommend that adequate time is allowed for checking and obtaining all necessary documents prior to departure.Typically people who meet all the following qualifications may not require a visa: British citizens travelling on Full British passport with a minimum validity remaining of 6 months at date of return. Where travel is on holiday or business and the total stay in USA does not exceed 90 days.
