Siesta Key is an up-market coastal area of Sarasota with a laid-back atmosphere synonymous with beachside living. Roller-bladers and cyclists weave through pedestrians in Siesta Village, which offers relaxed street front dining and dozens of boutiques and bars just north of Siesta beach, the main attraction.
Siesta beach has some of the whitest, finest sand in the world where you could see dolphins and manatees playing about in the surf. As well as sunbathing and swimming, every beach / water sport is catered for. Crescent beach shares the same glorious sand as Siesta but is much less crowded. As is Turtle beach, which is popular for picnics and nesting turtles!
Spend the day shopping for big bargains at the nearby Malls and finish the day with a spectacular sunset.
